Reminder that there are only a few days left to review your investment strategy before End of financial year (EOFY) – an important  stage for all investors, as SOME actions MUST be taken before 30 June!!

Here are 8 tips for end of year investment planning to set you up well for the end of financial year.

  1. Review Portfolio – the return generated is suitable??
  2. Consider how your investments are structured – the best entity – personal, SMSF or trust or company etc
  3. Capital Gain offset by concessional contributions to super

  4. Capital Loss & Gains – solidify before 30 June if appropriate
  5. Capital gains tax relief in pension mode in SMSF – watch pension balance cap – $1.9mill 23-24 and 24-25 years sell down exemption may apply

  6. Bring-forward deductions/expenses – reduce high profit & tax – prepay interest etc
  7. Defer taxable income – delay asset sale etc
  8. Property Investments – private portion, costs captured, minor repairs, dealy large expenses etc
